Sam and Paul's Story

BEFORE

Who says you can't have luxury on a budget.
Paul and Sam wanted a cleaner more usable modern look to their kitchen area but had a strict budget to work with.
On initial consultation we identified that the existing carcasses were in good condition so a substantial cost saving could be made by leaving these in situ and carrying out some focused changes to achieve the result they were looking for.

AFTER

We altered the pantry opening to make the contents more accessible , re-modelled the oven tower to place the oven at a more user friendly height , create space below for 2 large pot drawers and hide the microwave in the cupboard above while not in use.The small angled wall shelf unit was removed and replaced with another cupboard and a new cupboard fitted above the fridge to gain some extra storage space. We removed the raised bench top and fitted a large bench top to open up the area , create the impression of more space and create a breakfast bar.The angled section to the front of the bench top was removed and a square cupboard fitted opening into the open plan lounge area to create more bench top area and gain more storage space .All doors , drawer fronts and dress panels were removed and replaced with high gloss white handle-less panels with push to open mechanisms fitted to all doors and drawers to create a clean unbroken modern look.

New bench tops were fitted in a polished concrete effect laminate finish with a stylish black sink and tap ware and black feature pendant lighting fitted to complete the modern look and finally a mirrored splash back was fitted to further enhance the impression of space.

Vicki and Colin's Story

BEFORE

Vicki’s kitchen in Tweed Heads was pretty dated , the colour and design closed in the space and the existing footprint didn't give much scope for major changes.
So here’s what we did.
On initial consultation we identified that the existing carcasses were in good condition so a substantial cost saving could be made by leaving these in situ and carrying out some focused changes to achieve the result they were looking for.

AFTER

First we re-modelled the angled pantry to create a square corner pantry with 180 degree opening bi-fold doors which opened up the space inside the kitchen and gave much better access to the pantry shelving.
We also stepped back the nook to the left of the pantry to increase the floorspace and further enhance the access to the pantry.
We then removed the original oven tower which dominated and closed in that corner which allowed us to accomodate an under bench oven with cooktop and slide out rangehood , additional overhead cupboards and much needed drawer space.
The other significant change we made was to remove the dated raised benchtop to the front of the kitchen, this completely opened up the area and allowed us to fit larger benchtops to create a breakfast bar opening onto what was now a truly open plan kitchen / dining area.
The inclusion of stone benchtops allowed us to fit a sculpted undermount sink which creates a feature to the front of the area and maximises the usable bench space. (I also think the complementary upgrade to stainless steel tapware helps the overall look 😁 )
With Vicki and Colin choosing High Gloss White 2 pack doors and panels, Smartstone Gelsomino benchtops and Milton Moon Grey glass splashbacks the end result was always going to be as good as this looks.

Kevin's Story

BEFORE

Kevins existing kitchen was a dark crowded area with lots of dead space with a large pantry dominating the corner and creating a massive dead space with most of the corner unusable.

On initial consultation we identified that the existing carcasses were in good condition so a substantial cost saving could be made by leaving these in situ and carrying out some focused changes to achieve the result they were looking for.

AFTER

We removed the pantry completely which opened up the area and allowed us to fit new overhead cabinets, create a blind corner base cabinet, additional benchtop area and put in some much needed drawer space making a much more functional area.

Replacing all the doors and panels in a new white gloss 2 pac and fitting Smartstone "Santorini" benchtops and large format contrasting tiled splashback lifts and brightens the entire area.
